Ski classes for 3 year olds – a mixture of ski and play for young skiers in our own British Ski School and British-staffed nursery
Whilst our youngest guests are enjoying some creative play in the Penguin Club, a qualified instructor will take the 3 year olds to the top of the gondola for some fun time on the brand new mini nursery slope, with its own travellator lift.
Under the watchful eye of a member of our staff, this time on skis will be a perfect introduction to this exciting sport and a good step towards joining group lessons with the Ski 2 Kids Ski School in future years.
The amount of time spent on skis will depend on weather and snow conditions, but will likely be an hour each day, with full supervision between the nursery and the slopes, ski instruction whilst on the slope and ski equipment hire included.
The rest of the day will be spend enjoying the activities of the Penguin Club, leaving parents free to spend the full day on the pistes of the Monterosa ski area.
Open to – Any child who has the strength and determination to spend a little time on skis each day. We would suggest children should be at least 3 years old to take this option, although children aged 4 or over are recommend to join our group Kids Ski School (Monday to Friday – 1000 to 1500 hours)
Times – 0830 to 1800 hours, on any day of the season
Cost – Bookable by the day, this exciting new option is £67 per person, per day
Whilst Easter is a very popular time for many of our regular guests, we do still have a few rooms available for short breaks and week-long holidays between now and the middle of April. If you are looking for last minute availability, do please contact us and we’ll see if we can offer you something suitable. For those travelling with children, we do still have space in our British Ski School for the last 3 weeks of the winter.
Just a reminder that, subject to availability, you can arrive on any day of the week that suits you and to stay for any number of nights – perfect for a cheeky short break before the snow disappears in the spring!
Thanks to Ski 2 guest, 17 year old Alexander Hyde, for these amazing images taken in Champoluc during his recent stay at L’Aroula on the edge of the Ostafa piste. Alex and his family enjoy some great on and off-piste skiing during the week before Christmas across the Monterosa ski area including an ascent on ski touring skis up the valley above L’Aroula.
Following the success of our Ski 2 Racing classes which we have been running for our younger guests for the last couple of seasons during peak weeks, we are now offering parents the chance to learn to ski like their children. Many of our regular guests have loved the way that we have looked after their youngsters so well in our ski school, but now spend their holiday desperately trying to ski as proficiently as their kids! Now’s the time to prove that mum and dad do still ‘have it in them’ and to master some of the skills of ski racing …

Each course will involve a combination of fast free skiing, skills and technique and some race training around poles and is open to those who can ski strong parallel. These courses will be run by local Italian race coaches, all of whom have an excellent command of the English language and have a proven record in training skiers of all ages to international race standard. We will be running these courses on the following dates for this winter: Monday 30th March 2015 and Monday 6th April 2015.
If you have booked a Ski 2 holiday this winter and would like to take part in this coaching, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will amend your booking accordingly and email you an updated invoice. (I am afraid that this course is only available to Ski 2 guests)
