Hotel Petit Charmant
Framed by glistening pine trees, Hotel Petit Charmont is an attractive chalet-style hotel that offers excellent food and peaceful location.
The Hotel Petit Charmont is around a 12 minute walk from the ski deposit. Guests can enjoy a stroll along the cross-country track to warm up before a day’s skiing or enjoy a magical walk back at night when the route is lit by lamps. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus to and from the ski deposit if your legs have done enough work for one day, or you can use the ‘on-demand’ Ski 2 minibus service.
The chalet-feel of this very popular hotel (often rated No. 1 on the Tripadvisor website of hotels in Champoluc) extends to the bedrooms, which are comfortable and cosy, with traditional wooden features and some with antique furniture. All 12 rooms have an en-suite bathroom and there are a couple of suite-type rooms that can accommodate up to five people.
Petit Charmont’s restaurant is popular due to its unusual and tasty menu – local dishes with a Mediterranean influence, accompanied by an extensive wine list. After dinner, many guests choose to relax in front of the glow of the fire in the bar/lounge area or you can head out to enjoy the lively bar at the Hotel California only two minutes away.
Reviews from previous guests:
“The Petit Charmant turned out to be a wonderful find in the beautiful village of Champoluc in the Aosta Valley. A small, family run hotel with the most excellent restaurant and cosy, lounge area with a roaring fire. Just what a skier is looking for.”
“We stayed the week before Easter 2016 in the hotel and we were pampered from the start we arrived. The reviews had been excellent so we had hope for good food and was a bit worried that we would expect too much, but they exceeded our expectations. The service we got from everyone in the hotel was just great and way beyond the rating. The rooms was clean, nice and what you expect from a 3 star hotel, nice but not romantic getaway style.”
“A great hotel in a great ski resort! It looks as good inside as it does outside, a traditional looking alpine hotel with lots of wood on display and a nice fire and area to relax. Rooms are plenty big enough, clean, and vary from having balconies or larger spaces to sit. The people here couldn’t do enough for us! From welcoming us with snacks and beer as we checked in, to leaving us with the grappa for a few drinks after our evening meal, they were happy to let us do what we wanted. The food also lived up to expectations after reading previous reviews, small courses but plenty of them, all top class food presented to a high standard.”
